Florida Republican and real-life single daddy Matt Gaetz plans on traveling to Wyoming this week to rally against GOP Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney to force her resignation from her leadership post, the Washington Examiner reports.

"Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz plans to rally with local Republicans in Cheyenne on Thursday to urge the Wyoming Republican congresswoman to step down as a result of her voting in favor of Trump's second impeachment and accusing him of "betrayal" to the office of the presidency," writes the Examiner.

But Gaetz claimed in a tweet that he is not doing so to grab Cheney's job, writing, "I unequivocally am not seeking a position in House Leadership. I also know Wyoming can do better."

A Cheney spokesperson shot shade back at Gaetz, telling the Washington Examiner: "Rep. Gaetz can leave his beauty bag at home. In Wyoming, the men don't wear make-up."

If Cheney needed a second, she found one in Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger, who tweeted:

"He literally does carry a beauty bag."

Gaetz claims the "Wyoming Congresswoman lacked a mandate and called for her removal, but he questioned whether she even cared that she had lost the rank and file," reports the website Florida Politics.

"If more than half of our conference expresses their desire to remove her," Gaetz mused, "will she still fight and stay?"

"The base of the Republican Party is strong," Gaetz added, "but at the top of the party, our leadership frankly is in shambles. You've got McConnell wavering on impeachment, you've got Liz Cheney spitting into the eyes of tens of millions of Americans by embracing the language and the arguments of the radical left instead of the America First movement."
